The Specimen cup is awarded annually to the member who the committee have voted has caught the most impressive fish of the season from all applications received. To apply, the catcher must complete an application form.obtained by emailing mail@newburyanglingassociation.crmail.co.uk . The fish must have been caught on Association water, and be supported by a witness (sorry – no solo catches allowed) and a photograph (ideally demonstrating the size of the fish and the location caught). Entries must be received by 15th March in any year to be valid for entry. Non-members and guests may not enter specimen fish for consideration.
The award is at the discretion of the committee, typically using the percentage of the species British Record as a guide and the trophy presented at the following AGM.
