The Memorial match on Marshalls on the 12th October 2025 was strange to say the least. Of eleven anglers only four weighed in. Match secretary Dave Smith  had three little Roach and an even smaller Perch so didn’t bother, the only four who caught were Richard Faithfull who had six Carp in the first two hours then not a bite. He weighed in at 41-8-0, Tim Wirth had three Carp and two Bream for 33-13-0, Steve Myers had two Carp in the first 45 minutes then nothing for 17-14-0 and Kalvin Cole had two Carp for 16-9-0.

Result of the NAA Xmas match – 7th December 2025 – Enborne/Speen.

S Myers 14-5-0, Sam Crook 8-14-0, M Chapple 5-11-0, H Sadler 5-8-0, R Faithfull 4-15-0, D Smith 4-0-0, K Haines 3-10-0, K Cole and B Pallett DNW.

Steve Myers was on the 5th pallet on DS alley and caught a nice net of Perch.   Sam Crook fished his first match with us and went right down the end of the canal to Egypt Point and caught 5 Perch.  Malcolm was on the left hand side of where the boats tie up at Guyers lock and caught mainly Perch. Dave Smith sat on the other end for only 4lb (chose the wrong end!!).   Henry was next to Steve Myers on DS alley and again caught Perch.   Richard Faithfull went over to the river, lost a big chub in the first swim and then went to the Passion for Angling swim and had 4 chub (one of which he lost) in 4 trots on bread!!   Brian P was also on the river and didn’t have a bite.  Ken Haines and Kalvin Cole went on Enborne up (not sure what swims), Ken had some Perch, Kalvin didn’t!!   Last year the hamper was won by Malcolm.   This year the first two, Steve and Sam chose bottles and Malcolm in third ended up with the hamper again (another happy customer).   Considering the venue is not that popular the weights were quite good.   The rain stopped before we packed up so it was not a bad day.   We will see what next year brings!
